Owner description: Twelve of the 18 bells in this tower came from London's St.-Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square as a Bicentenary gift to the people of Western Australia in 1988. Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727.

This is a nice piece of architecture designed to house some bells donated to the city by St Martins in the Field, London. The surrounding area is a nice walk and it is located near the Barrack Street Jetty where you can get the ferry across the river to South Perth and the Zoo. You can pay to enter the tower and get a bit of a view from inside, but I think the view from Kings Park is better...I prefer to save my dollars for something else, but do enjoy the outside view and wandering around the area.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We appreciate your feeback.

The area surrounding the Bell Tower is stunning and it is an impressive building to look at from the outside however we believe there is as much, if not more to offer inside the tower.

The entry fee to the Bell Tower not only allows you entry to the observation deck to see the spectacluar view of Perth, it also allows you to see the bells from St Martins in the Fields up close, to watch the audio visual presentations on bellringing and the tower, to make a video postcard to show to your friends and family, to participate in the interactive demostration where you get the chance to chime a bell and recieve a certificate and allows you to experience the various displays about clockas and bells throught the building.

If you would like to contact us we would be happy to offer you the full experience inside the Bell Tower

As a Perth landmark, not very impressive ... surely we can think bigger than this! A quick walkpast as you get on the Fremantle or Rottnest ferries is enough.

Definitely worth a trip down there for a photo. Take a river cruise whilst you are there and stop for lunch or dinner at one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the Swan River and South Perth.

It does cost to go up but it is free to get a photo of it.
There is also a stop for the CAT bus (free bus that travels around the Perth City)
