We arrived late at night to be greeted by very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. The hotel has a ‘key in the slot’ mechanism for the aircon, so getting to the room, it was really stuffy and the aircon wasn’t that great.
What really impressed me was when you logged into the WiFi, it asked how you felt about the hotel and had a spot for comments - I put in about the aircon, expecting it to go nowhere. We got back to our room the next day, not only was the aircon fixed, there was a note apologising. This was so far above what I was expecting but in line with every interaction I had with staff at the hotel. They all seem to be genuinely happy to be there.
Breakfast was good - regular turnover meant the food was always fresh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom could do with an upgrade, but everything worked and was more than adequate for what we were there for (good ‘fluffy’ towels).
Location was excellent, really close to the river and about a 45 minute (easy) walk along the river to King’s Park.
I’d recommend this hotel for a short stay in Perth.More
