A good day out! Tour guide gave clear instructions as we went along (a bit more of a safety briefing at the start would have helped for people that have never ridden before) It is also a little unclear when booking through trip advisor if you are getting a buggy or a two person quad bike, we booked for two couples and ended up getting a two person quad each, when we thought we would be getting a buggy.
I think if booked through the website it is a bit more specific.
All round it was a fun morning and we would do it again!
Max was a great instructor, who really knew the tracks well and pushed us to our limits.
He was supportive and made the tour such a great experience!
Booked the tour almost 3 weeks in advance, as I was visiting from over east and needed to organise a car to hire as well as ensure my cousin's teens (who live locally) were free. 3 days prior I was informed they were planning on doing "yard work" on the day we booked, and had to reschedule. On attempting to organise an alternative day (which was a massive inconvenience) the company were very difficult to get in touch with, not responding to written messages or phone calls until a day or two after they were sent (which was pretty frustrating given time was of the essence, since I was only in the state for two weeks). Finally sorted out another day to book in for, and to their credit they were pretty flexible with this.
The tour itself was run by a couple of young French people - they spoke enough English to get by, but the introduction to the quads was minimal (not an issue for me, given I ride both bikes and quads, but for the 16 + 18 year old a bit more an intro as to how they work would have been useful). The guide we had was friendly and the tour was fun - I was very appreciative that they split our group into two however, as there were a few poeple behind going incredibly slow and struggling. In our group there were repeated issues with a 2-person buggy getting bogged (which isn't unexpected given the terrain) but it then broke down, necessitating a second staff member to come out with another buggy. Staff handled it well, and thankfully it didn't impede on our tour too much.
The sandboarding part came afterwards - one was given a board and some wax and asked to return after an hour, allowing you to do your own thing.
The day worked out better than expected, given my hesitancy after such issues leading up to it. I can't say I recommend the company wholeheartedly, but it was a fun day out.
We booked this tour for my sons 16th birthday (2 adults and 2 children, 16 and 11). My youngest was so happy to have his own quad and we had a great time exploring the different tracks and wildlife. Thanks Max for being a great host 😊
Highly recommend, this is a highlight of my trip in wa. They are here to make you comfortable even if you have no experience
