Ordered the main size Cavatelli Pasta ($38) whilst my friend sitting across from me ordered the entrée Cavatelli Pasta ($20). Both dishes, despite the price, were the same in size (plus/minus 5 pasta pieces and 2 prawns). The main contained 4 prawns while the entrée portion contained 1 prawn. For that price you'd assume they would be a bit more generous with the prawns in the main portion.
When asking the waitress whether we had both been given the entrée, she told us they were meant to be different but agreed they did look the same when they came out. She then asked how many prawns we had and when we told her there was a difference of 3 prawns, she told us that was why the main portion was $20 more... She asked the chef and he said the price difference was also due to a 100g difference in pasta. Looking at the picture, I would not say there was half a cup more of pasta in my main.
We agreed that I would be charged for the entrée portion, however, when I arrived at the till, I was given a $4 discount instead. Even when questioning this, the waitress responded with attitude. Definitely would not return. This could have been resolved quite easily in hindsight. And considering it was the first night of the new menu, you would think they would take on feedback a bit better. Our whole table have all worked in hospitality and were shocked at the service.
