Broometime Lodge is one of the main hotels in Broome, with rooms arranged in blocks around a central garden where guests can use the barbecues. There is also a swimming pool. In July, which is comparatively cool (29 degrees or so), there was slightly too much shade for a sun-seeking Brit. But in hotter months, it must be lovely. The rooms are well equipped, with bathroom and kitchen. There is a computer available for internet access. But the main appeal is the magically efficient and friendly staff. Mel is the best. She knows everything, recognises every guest, always has time to chat, give advice, directions, etc.
