We drove 10 years ago from Darwin to Perth and arriving in Broome was like heaven, an oasis after days of heat, dust and flies.
Cable Beach is like a small Chinese village, with all kinds of rooms, appartments, villas, several restaurants, for different budgets. The garden is beautiful, with pools full of waterlilies, which can be crossed by bridges. The garden is full of Chinese statues. They have 2 large pools, of which one with saltwater. The pools are "cooled down" to 29°C. The rooms have all comfort. They have a shining wooden floor, bathroom, dressing, laundry facilities.
The Resort is very close to the beach. One of the restaurants has a large terrace, from where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. The Resort has their own beach with chairs and umbrella facilities.
We left Broome one day before the "staircase of the moon" So when we returned from a cruise, earlier this year, arriving in Broome, we stayed the all week, in order not to miss this phenomenon which is visible at full moon from March till October only.More
