If you want to get away from it all, this is the place for you. The hotel is 90 mins away from anything which pretty much means once you're here, you're staying.

We stayed in the Eco tents which we loved. Even if you're not the camping type, this is a pretty good option. I'm not sure it'd be much fun in the height of the wet season though, as the heat might be a bit much.

The restaurant was surprisingly good which, considering there are no other options, is a blessing. For a remote place, the prices are OK (think Sydney or Melbourne) and the variety is wide enough for a few nights here. All the staff, who are clearly backpackers, are extremely friendly and helpful which is an achievement for a transient workforce.

The setting is beautiful and walking on the beach and the bush track will occupy your time. You'll take lots of pics.

I'd say a few days here would be a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it.

90 min drive south of Broome and a touch of remote paradise.

Stayed for two nights in one of the Eco tents. Great experience of outdoors without having to erect the tent or schlep everything - very comfortable tents with en suite and good beds. Very helpful and pleasant staff only too willing to oblige. Restaurant and bar more than adequate and definitely Resort style for this remote location.

Did a 2 hr bush walk including a good 15mins of bird watching - all in sand and real bush - great views of mini bungles from above and the coastline. Another 2 hr Beach walk at low tide gave perfect views of amazing sedimentary rock coast line and outcrops- amazing

Perfect weekender from the cold of winter

Great location, beautiful place and facilities but, the staff treat the place as their own private party place. Kept us awake 2 nights (first night till 12pm) all guests tucked up in bed by 9 the staff quarters were partying playing bongo drums and music till the early hours... the walking track had not been kept clear and we scratched our legs on long dead branches and weeds overgrown on the track. There was a scrub bull to negotiate around with poor signage that saw us lost till be back tracked and found our way back to the beach. We came along way and had long planned to pay for the tour to Jacks Creek but alas no staff member would take us there. The manager said he would see what he could do then promptly forgot about it. We had a feral cat enter our room as the door couldn't be closed properly, the staff just agreed they had some there and didn't really offer advise as to whether an ECO resort had a feral animal management program.

Room Tip: check before you get there if all tours are available and ask for a room a long way from the staff quarters

Eco Beach R, Manager at Ramada Eco Beach Resort, responded to this reviewResponded 14 July 2017

Thank you for reviewing our property, I am pleased that you enjoyed our resort and facilities. I am very disappointed to read your comments about the alleged staff activity and this is most concerning. We did not receive any other complaints for guests nor did our managers whom are accommodated in the staff quarters hear anything. Non the less we are very sorry that your sleep was interrupted and I would like the opportunity to discuss this, as well as talk through the other concerns you had with your Eco Beach experience. Please feel free to contact me on my direct number 08 9193 8026.

Kind Regards
Jessica Martin

I have visited every year with a vibrant greeting however the grumpy old man that I was met by got me on the back foot! God does that man hate his job! Thankfully the rooms were beautifully presented and the staff out and about were super obliging and professional !!

Currently sitting enjoying these simply stunning uninterrupted views up and down the beach! We are staying in a beach front villa, having a pre baby holiday!

The remoteness of the location really did not hit home until we arrived!
Have seen less then 20 people in the 3 days we stay here. Including the staff!

Worth the 1.5 hr drive!
Also note if hiring a car: you will need a 4wd- the entry to the resort is an off road "track" which was well maintained- however is not covered by insurances for sedans.
Otherwise I believe transfers can be arranged.

Love the philosophy of turning the cabin off for the day when we leave, and only using what power is needed when hanging around.

Staff are very friendly and highly accomodating.

Food is small menu, however high quality and such an enjoyable setting.
Chefs are quick but take time with presentation of the dish we have really enjoyed each meal so far!
I have food intolerances and meals have been accommodated each time, which is great!

**Bring your repellant the sun up/ sun down time is awful for mosquitoes ! We didn't get bitten as we were using our repellent- however they are just swarming around and annoying.

We have enjoyed each sun rise and sunset, all of which are beautiful and unique each day!

And have walked both ends of the beach , the baby bump not willing to let us go as far as others we have seen on their walks- and we missed out on the 2hour walk which is reccomended by the desk staff- however we don't mind! Happy to just sit and relax.

Can't stress enough if you want a relaxing time away and like to sit on your balcony to just take in the setting- book the front villas they are breathtaking!
