Have just returned from my second visit to Eco Beach and I can't think of a better place to rest and 'retreat restore rejuvenate' - as they say. The environment is beautiful and pristine, the people friendly and relaxed and my stay - ten days this year - was even more enjoyable than the four days I had last year. The food this year was hugely better than last year - many more and better options - salads and pastas and some Asian influenced dishes - all good but even more options would be even better - especially for those of us lucky enough to stay for more than a couple of days. An extra delight was the Jacks Creek Experience where Paul showed us how nature works in the sand bush and estuary - fascinating. Carla at the coffee machine was a wonder in the mornings.
I agree with an earlier review about the culture clash with the weddings - many of the wedding guests don't seem to appreciate the place at all - lots of whinging about no tv.... Perhaps the weddings could be situated somewhere a bit separate from those of us who come BECAUSE there is no tv?

All in all a great place and a great time - thanks Josie

Room Tip: Both the tents and villas are great but do bring warm things to wear in the evenings.

Eco beach is a beautiful place. Nature is spectacular and remote. Having said that there are some things about the property itself that could be better. Food for one is nothing to write home about. It would be great to have a selection of fresh seafood and a daily rotation in lunch menu. If you are here for a few days you end up having very little choice an eating the same thing. Another watchout is wedding weekends. They turn Fridays and Saturdays here from romantic to crazy noisy and very "high street". Additionally if you are here in August bring your warm pjs. Nights are vey cold and even in bungalows you will be freezing. No duvet covers, just piles of blankets. One more comment about staff - as other reviewers mentioned some of them are really just going through the motions. It is an expensive place but the quality of staff doesn't reflect it. Not everyone, but some actually act like they would defenitely rather be somewhere else, and on many occasions have no clue what is or isn't on the menu, available etc. Staff briefing in the morning may be of help?

Room Tip: Ocean view tents are actually right on the path through property next oor to the restaurant, rather than on the water. Next time I would go with garden view tent as you do end up watching people and golf carts rather than the ocean. The ocean view bungalows are in a nice location overlooking directly the beach.

Truly stunning spot. We stayed in a villa, and the accommodation was great. Nice walks along the beach, etc. Pleasant staff. The only problem is the food. It's inoffensive, and it's non-toxic, but it's very pedestrian. Much like the serving staff, it's just going through the motions. If you received this sort of food when you were somewhere remote, you'd be quite happy with it, or even impressed. But at Eco Beach you're only an hour from Broome. They desperately need to hire a chef, even if just to come design a menu and check on quality control. You won't go hungry at Eco Beach, but the meals are certainly not a highlight of the day. Everything else is glittering and top quality. The food really lets it down.

Room Tip: Get a Villa so you have a fridge and kettle, and bring your own breakfast so you're only disappointed twice a day.

Our family (two adults and two girls aged 14 and 12) has just returned from 4 wonderful days and nights at the beautiful and remote Eco Beach...Having previously stayed at Kooljaman at Cape Leveque and had the most amazing time, I set low expectations so as not to be disappointed and we weren't.
Set in one of the most stunning settings with native flora overlooking the expansive indian ocean, the entire resort's low impact eco ambiance is wonderful - it allows you to be in a remote location with all of the benefits of remoteness but with many luxuries...We found the staff were fantastic...We love the eco concept in practice and Simon gave a brilliant tour of the sustainability features of the resort which are very impressive, Paul was an exceptional fountain of knowledge for everything flora and fauna on the bush walk tour, Noah on the whale watching boat was great fun, Kurt was brilliant on the Jack's Creek Taste of Fishing - and he allowed us to bring back our Mangrove Jack to be cooked at the restaurant and served as our dinner (thank you chef)!...And Emma - the Yoga Instructor and Masseuse was just amazing (brilliant massage)...The dragon fly yoga room over looking the ocean is stunning...Carla Ann was superb in the restaurant and in running the mud and bubbles on the beach... Kristy was great at the front desk (and Tiki too!)
The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is not heated so it was rather refreshing (bear this in mind)... .We did a lot of self catering by choice but we enjoyed the food at the restaurant - especially the steak sandwich and chickpea prawn salad...We highly recommend the Bush Breakfast Sour Martini at sunset (anytime really) too! It gets quite cold at night so put the extra blankets on and follow their advice to bring some warm clothes...
Our whole experience was really relaxing and fantastic...Thank you to Karl for setting up this lovely resort and thank you to the whole team at Eco Beach!
