“Step back to a time past shopping experience”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

The Block arcade is famous for its original architecture and the theme of the precinct is old world charm/shopping experience. It is like stepping back in time to pre World War two shopping. There are eateries, and shops that provide that old world charm. The place is heritage listed and a joy to walk through just to window shop. Hard to believe it is in the centre of the shopping district of Melbourne within easy walking distance from Flinders Streeet Station and short tram rides down either Collins or Elizabeth Streets if the couple of blocks is too much to walk. Great atmoshpere and great shopping experience take along your camera to capture the feel of the place, you will not regret it. Not far from all the major shopping department stores.

“Amazing building”
Reviewed 23 February 2012

What an amzaing and well maintained building,,,The building and the shops are a unique part of Melbourne and well maintained. I love the way you can exit - into the cafe lane - that has small quaint cafes - amongst the busy traffic of Melbourne
