This is a great hotel in a very convenient location in Melbourne city. Just 3 minutes to Swanston Street trams. The hotel rooms are comfortable though not large but with big windows this gives impression of space and plenty of light. Bathroom is good size. Kitchenette is a bonus with cooking facilities and microwave though there are lots of food outlets close by. The hotel has a lounge area where breakfast is served.

Clean, comfortable, modern rooms, a little small, but in a city like Melbourne you don't spend much time in your room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved that it is right across from the Queen Victoria Markets and on the edge of the free tram zone. Small kitchen is a bonus when staying for several nights, as I was. Most impressed with the small but well-appointed bathroom and excellent walk-in shower. Will stay again on my regular trips to Melbourne.

Room tip: Top floor would be best as there was a little noise from the room above when they walked round.

Very centrally located right near the Victoria markets. The trams run right down the end of the street so very easy to get around.Rooms sre nice and clean and very comfortable. Our room had a kitchenette, so we could either eat out or prepair our own meals. We booked this hotel as a mystery hotel on Scoopon.

My husband and I went to this lovely hotel for my birthday weekend. We bought it as a deal on living social.
What a delightful surprise. We checked in smoothly with the great help of two amazing men on reception, Sandy from Mauritius and Jo from Fiji. They were there throughout our stay and made us feel welcome and gave us all the information that we needed and went the extra mile to book our shuttle bus service to us. Thank you guys, greatly appreciated. The breakfast was included and was just lovely. Want to say a big thank you to both Tarun the cook who came out to see that we were happy with the good and Sevi the concierge on duty in the restaurant who was so polite and helpful and made our stay. Not often do you get such an amazing team of people helping you out in various areas. Thank you Mercure, please let your amazing team know how we loved their care and attention. Great workers, can't wait to return.

Room tip: We were on the 9th floor, quiet and close to the restaurant and business area

Small but clean and comfortable rooms. Great location, just across the road from the Vic markets. Free tram into the city centre but also walkable to Burke street mall and Melbourne central. We walked to Lyon street one night for amazing Italian food. But the best found was found at the night markets, only available at the queen Vic markets Wednesday nights in winter. There are also summer night markets but I am not sure when they are. Loved the staff at the hotel who couldn't do enough for us and were more than happy to store our bags on the last day. Excellent price too. We will definitely return.
