Description: A prestigious seafood restaurant with river view and heated alfresco area. Waterfront, would satisfy every guest that seeks either a relaxed romantic dinner or an aged chargrilled steak with glass of wine from Waterfront's extensive wine selection.

Come back on the basis of a previous visit and were not disappointed. Although the prices are high the quality of service and seafood are of the highest standard. Would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Best take home memory from dining at the waterfront is the steak. We had the 400g Black Angus Scotch fillet. Each was cooked to our liking.

The service was a bit muddled (drinks) but the meals came out in a timely manner.

Obviously, outdoor seating needs to be reserved. We walked in off the street and were seated inside which was still very pleasant.

The seafood items were very expensive, but I’m not used to paying those prices given the availability of good seafood where I live! Oysters @ $4.50 is probably no big deal to city folk!

Even the steak was up there in price but it was GOOD!

The Waterfront is seafood delight. The catch is fresh and the flavours are typically delicate. I suggest sitting outside on one of those nice Melbourne nights - but do book ahead or you may be disappointed.

We stumbled across the Waterfront in the morning and made a reservation and fortunately wee given a table outside. We could not have been happier with our choice as we had not consulted Trip Advisor.

We all had different past and fish dishes and as this was one of our first Restaurant visits in Australia we had not realised the portion control. So by the time we had finished our starters, we were full. However we managed to eat the perfect cooked seafood linguine and various grilled fish, barrumindi was certainly one. The wine list was quite extensive and so we had a bottle of white and red. There was a great atmosphere in the Restaurant, which was exceptionally busy for a Friday evening. If you want to go you must book.

Perfect dinner for our first night in Melbourne.

This restaurant is in a great location with fabulous river side view, but be warned you need to make a reservation. This was our first mistake. Without a reservation sadly we didn't get a table outside but the staff were friendly and did manage to find us a table inside. Sadly the first table we were given was at the back and right next to the kitchen. I personally have a really big problem with the smell of cooking food and it really puts my off eating being so close to the kitchen was not good. We were going to leave but the staff sensed our dissatisfaction with our table and managed to find us another one slightly closer to the front of the restaurant.

The food itself was very nice and good quality and we did enjoy it. The restaurant itself was really busy and our wine was not in a chiller next to our table so we couldn't serve our self so we did have to wait a fair amount of time in between glasses of wine.

Overall a nice enough evening and friendly staff but felt like they were living off their location.
