High end shops and good hotels. Free tram service along the whole street. Lots of interesting restaurants and bars in the side streets and great graffiti in the back streets

Collins st is home to some really beautiful buildings, so take time to have a nosey through those doors, and to pause on the pavement an look up. Wonderful

Visited on Sunday 4th March. This is the Grandest of Melbourne City Streets and a must see when you visit. You can take a tram from one end to the other or get out and walk along looking at the different buildings at your own pace. Either way its a must do when you are in Melbourne.

This is one of the most beautiful streets in melbourne with charm of old architecture and convenience of modern amenities. the street is easily accessible by trams and roads and constitutes a very invigorating walk.

Collins Street, which runs for just over 3 kilometres from Spring Street to Victoria Harbour/Dockland, is a very wide street that has been one of Melbourne’s main streets since 1837.

The street is open to both trams (a large section of it is in the free tram zone) and cars and the pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road is very wide. We saw a number of couples having wedding photos taken in the middle of the street.

Effectively from Elizabeth Street up to Spring Street there are some architecturally beautiful buildings as well as high end fashion boutiques.
