This is a great place to relax in the shade of the large old trees but also you can visit the Conservatory which I have to say was not as spectacular in February as it was on a previous visit in September..different time of year different blooms. In addition there is Cook's Cottage which was transported from England and reconstructed. The home of Capt Cook's parents. You get tickets from the information office opposite. You can put on costumes from the time to take your own selfies.
I enjoyed watching the butterflies in various locations

A wonderful place to dream under big old trees and established greenery. Convenient to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Parliament and Park Hyatt Melbourne.

Fantastic parkland, surrounded by buildings from the golden times of Melbourne as well as the present day . The park itself has many delights - Cook's House, miniature villages, fairies and it is surprisingly tranquil. A great place to spend an afternoon relaxing and slowing down in this mega city.

These gardens are well laid out and are only a short walk from the city centre. The conservatory has changing displays of plants which are well worth seeing.
