I was surprised at how good the Travelodge in Southbank actually was. I was after a place to stay that wasn’t going to break the bank but the Travelodge was really lovely and close to everything. I had beautiful views from my room and was able to enjoy a stroll along the river. The staff were a delight apart from one lady who refused to allow for a late check out.
Right next door is the Eureka tower where you can enjoy a cuppa and cheeky choc slice while taking in 360 degree views. Then a short walk away is Crown Casino where you can find the best pizza in town. On the other side of the river you can get on the circle route and enjoy a leisurely tram ride around the city. Then check out the tours on offer with Bunyip who have all the info you need to make your trip that little more special.
Looking forward to my next stay at Travelodge Southbank. I didn’t want to leave.

Always a convenient and good stay in Melbourne. Close to everything-restaurants, shopping, parks, entertainment, but still quiet. Good service-friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is worthwhile and usually good.

Great spot, close to Southbank restaurants and walk bridge over the Yarra. Quiet rooms away from traffic. Good value extras to buy at reception such as water bottles and half bottles of wine and beer.

Our stay was great even the team members were great had a hiccup at the end of stay but was resolved. The staff was welcoming through the mornings and the evening's easy to get to and from our room also help from house keeping was great. The air conditioning system could have been bit better but loved the view at night from our window.

Trevelodge Southbank is great quality at such a competitive price. The location is great - very close to everything you could possibly need. From check-in to check-out the staff were lovely and the room was comfortable. The bed was also very comfy!!

Staff felt very under-trained and we left feeling like they didn't care or want to be working there.
Fan in bathroom wasn't working, safe in the room didn't work.
Our calls to reception were never returned.
Beds were very messily made.
Breakfast was very good, though.
