Terrific Travelodge

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 Sept 2019
Stayed overnight and got a good deal with breakfast(booking.com).
We arrived early (11am) hoping to just drop off our luggage but the friendly Patty informed us that our room (818) was available which was a welcoming surprise.
Our room was clean & tidy and suited our needs. My only complaint as with other reviews are that the rooms are looking tired. Our bathroom while clean would just need to be re-grouted to bring back a sparkle.
Shampoo/Soap and lotions were all provided.
Our room was quite and away from the lifts and sleep quality was fine.
Breakfast was buffet style with a basic variety of cereals, pasties and a hot selection of food.
Perfect location for any tourist right in the heart of the Southbank/Casino precinct and an easy walk into the CBD.
All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
Would recommend to others
Great photo's scattered around the building.

Overall a very pleasant motel to stay. Bedding was very comfortable and clean. The centrallity of this motel is the greatest feature! I would recommend this motel to all family and friends. Great place for getting to the football and Rod Laver Arena and the Forum if your seeing a concert

First the shower did not drain away. When the air conditioning in the second room did not work I had to ask to be moved. When the water in the third room was tepid I was told by a male cleaner thatit was warm enough for a shower. The staff member who came to organise another room said I could maje several trips with my gear. I was feeli ng tired and unwell and had to ask him to help me

Stayed for 2 nights on a work trip. I expected the basics to be better - the hot water was just warm, the AC had to be restarted all night to keep a constant temp and the internet was slow.

Love the location, but the property was tired

Hi Aussie1199

Thank you for your email and I do apologize for any inconvenience caused by the Hot water issues you experienced. I have reached out to our Maintenance team to review the Hot water performance as this is definitely not the norm. Our Air Conditioning does have an auto feature to maintain temperatures for our guests with alternative options to have them on continuous use.

We have also reached out to our Internet Provider to review the speed/usage during the time you stayed with us. Generally the speed is consistent however can be affected during those peak times, you may have also been affected by the speed option selected on arrival. The complimentary access is capped at Mbps with faster options available for a fee.

Kind regards

Value for money off peak and good experiences consistently - have stayed here a few times now. Great breakfast and clean rooms. USB wall chargers built in are a nice touch.
Convienant parking and close to CBD.

For a one night stay, this was good choice for price and location.
We were given a room with two beds which was a little weird. Queen size beds were very small, more like a double but comfortable. Nice hot water but bathroom could do with updating as the shower screen was very hard to open and there was rusty spots. Location excellent for walking to restaurants etc.

Hi Smish

During high occupancy nights, we will often "upgrade" our guests to our Family rooms which consists of the 2 x Queen Beds. We understand that there will be nights that the Hotel will be occupied with a higher degree of single travelers compared to weekends when these rooms are purchased for their intended use.

Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you back very soon.

Kind regards
