I love the Melbourne Museum, there is always so much to offer the general public, especially children. We attended the Vikings exhibition today, which had a lot of great information, probably more accessible for 9+ years (not so engaging for children younger). However, the museum always disappoints and frustrates with its use of single-use plastic in the cafe: disposable cups, plastic cutlery, packaging for all food, plastic cups even for the available water. It is a great shame that such a wonderful Melbourne icon has resorted to this 'fast and nasty' eating ethic.

I loved my visit to this museum. It was very well presented with interesting displays. I particularly liked the Phar Lap display and the history of Melbourne exhibit.

I visited the Melbourne Museum on my own and loved being able to wander through geology, palaeontology, taxidermy and local history. There really is something here for everyone. The displays are thoughtfully and creatively assembled and there is a huge range of exhibits.

There's a rain forest in the middle of the museum. Full of lizards, birds and fish. You can walk under the lake and see everything. This place is awesome
