The Hyatt is a lovely hotel and great for a splurge. The breakfast is fantasic with every option possible catering both western and asian options. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The pool and gym were nice and very clean just a pity the pool doesn't have a view of anywhere.
Would recommend as a romantic getaway.

Room Tip: If you can book the room in an all inclusive package.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt for three nights. My flight was delayed so I arrived around midnight, the young bell boy Nicholas was very professional when he welcomed us to the hotel and insisted that he deliver the bags for us! Very thankful for that as we were very tired after a long haul flight! Easy check-in and the room was great, only problem was that there seemed to be a few too many crying babies. Location of the hotel is great, went for an early morning run then coffee. Fantastic stay will defiantly return and will be joking the Hyatt Gold Passport!

Room Tip: The lake view is fantastic!

Only stayed for two nights on business but would gladly stay for longer. Room was large with a sitting area and good amenities. Location was great too, and getting a cab was not a problem. Room service was pretty quick and I have no complaints.

You get what you pay for and whilst the hotel costs a bit more you get first class facilities and helpful staff. The rooms are decorated nicely and we had a good sleep.Nice buffet breakfast too.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The refurbishment is amazing and you get exactly what you pay for. The rooms itself are large, comfortable and have gorgeous furnishings.

We went for a weekend getaway. Our room included a bottle of wine and chocolates, buffet breakfast and valet parking. This was $349 which we though was quite reasonable being a saturday night.
The breakfast spread is amazing! So great we infact tryed to visit last weekend for Mothers Day. Only downside was I called 3 weeks in advance asking to make a booking, and the lady reassured me if we came at 0800 we would get a table. After travelling 45mins into the city and paying $20 for parking, we arrived only to get told there was no availability. This seems ridiculous considering its a special day. I understand the availability but surely you should take bookings for breakfast then! Really disapointed. I am a hyatt gold passport member and felt this was a letdown. The breakfast spread is great. Best Iv ever had and Im a regular in 5* hotels across the world. Fresh berries, ham off the bone, amazing yoghurt and best poached eggs Iv ever had.

The pool and gym facilitys are great aswell, although I feel the pool area could do with a revamp as I cut my toe on one of the tiles in the spa.

Apart from that great stay, and I look forward to another experience here.. when the hubby allows..

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the MCG. Much nicer view during the day!

Dear melbournegal9,
Thank you for your comments – it is good to hear you enjoyed your stay. The newly refurbished rooms do impress and we’re glad that you agree. I’m sorry to hear you had troubles getting a table for breakfast – it does get quite busy during the weekend, and on a special occasion such as Mother’s day it is a very popular choice. Collins Kitchen definitely knows how to cook a great breakfast! We do hope you choose to stay with us again soon.
