It's worth getting the top level room. They are small but nice. Great location. Parking can be an issue and decent walk if the carpark next door is full. You then get sent down the street to alternative parking. I was advised when I called this may happen but the next door car park is tiny. So plan on walking

Dear DAJ171
Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found our rooms to be comfortable. If you prefer more space in your hotel room, we would definitely recommend booking one of our Premier King Rooms on your next stay - our Premier Rooms are lovely and spacious, with lux rain showers and views over beautiful and busy Lonsdale Street. We hope the parking didn't cause you too much inconvenience. Being right in the heart of the city, there are many options for car parking that are convenient and well priced and within very close walking distance to the hotel. We hope to welcome you back again soon to the Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne! Kindest regards, Tara Strickland, Hotel Operations Manager

Well appointed rooms, good city views, some parts a little dated, and some issues with water pressure (a key attribute for me when rating hotels!), but otherwise great place to stay, handy location, adjacent to good restaurants, Lygon St, Chinatown, Greek Quarter, and not much further to malls. Would stay again.

Dear Logan D
Thank you very much for your great review! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and we will certainly investigate the matter of the water pressure in the building to ensure an even more comfortable stay next time (we agree, this is definitely a key attribute for a great hotel!) We would love to welcome you back again soon to the Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne. Kindest regards, Tara Strickland, Hotel Operations Manager

absolutely disgusting bath had hair in the from previous guest, the room was not what it even close to what is advertised, fridge barely gets cold, shower doesn't stay a nice temperature it was either boiling hot to hot to stand under or freezing cold. Payed extra for the baloney and our view was of a dumpster definitely not worth the money and a shocking experience wouldn't recommend.

Dear Traveler63454090028
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are so sorry that your recent stay with us did not meet expectations. It is extremely disappointing to hear your feedback regarding the cleanliness of your room and we will certainly be addressing this with our housekeeping team. All of our Classic and Superior Rooms offer Juliet balconies (there is no extra charge for this, as these our basic lead in room types) and we think this is a lovely way of stepping out of your room and getting some fresh air and taking in the surroundings. However, given our location right in the centre of a big, bustling city like Melbourne, we unfortunately can not, and do not, guarantee views from all our rooms. We would recommend to our valued guests, to book into one of our Premier King Rooms, if a city view is a priority, as all of our Premier Rooms overlook the Lonsdale Street side of our building. We apologise for any inconvenience with regards to the shower and can assure you that our team are available 24 hours a day to assist with all such matters, I regret we were not given the opportunity to work towards a solution for you during this stay. I truly hope on your next visit to Melbourne you may reconsider staying at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne. Kindest regards, Tara Strickland, Hotel Operations Manager
