We spend one Friday night in room 1116. The hotel is centrally located and this is very convenient for exploring the city and getting around Melbourne by tram. The hotel's staff was friendly and efficient at check-in. Our room was fairly long with large twin beds (which unfortunately we did not find very comfortable), desk, two small couches and a flat screen TV . The quilt cover on one of the beds had a blood stain right in the middle! The bathroom was clean but the bathtub was stained and lacked an antislip mat. Overall, the room was clean but the furnishings were tired. The hotel does not offer free wifi, but charges $10 (for "light" usage) or $25; we find that a charge for wifi is unacceptable these days. Only recommended for its location and there are other hotels nearby!

Room Tip: Room 1116 was very noisy (it sounded like turned off air conditioning was on high) when the window w...
