Overnight stay to utilise train early morning and so handy across the street. Room was spacious enough with King Size bed (Room 5512) on 5th Floor. Air conditioner was a little noisy for a non sleeper like myself but other than that all was ok. Did not use restaurant for Dinner or breakfast but ordered room service which appeared standard pricing for that option. Freezer section of bar fridge was all frozen up so could not use to chill water for 40 degree day ahead and tissue box was empty on my arrival.
Very close handy to a small supermarket across the road for snacks or liquor if required. Handy and adequate and location makes it a good choice.

We booked a 2 bedroom room with kitchenette. It was basically walk in the door straight into the first bedroom, through that into the lounge, kitchenette with door to bathroom and then through that into the actual bedroom. It was all a bit of a weird cut. One bedroom exited straight into the hall and didn't have a window. Probably not bad if you have someone who needs complete darkness to be able to sleep ...
Other than that it was quite good. Kitchenette was well equipped as was bathroom. Lounge had sofa, table and chairs, tv etc. Wifi in lobby was good. Didn't use internet in room, because with wifi in lobby only 1 person buys time and password and the whole family can then use that password and time on their individual ipods, ipads, etc.
Parking in house is good, but tricky if you are not used to tight corners. Restaurant good as well. Reception very friendly and do what they can to help.
Hotel location is fantastic and central.

I chose this hotel as we were leaving very early in the morning from Southern Cross train station and this hotel is literally across the road. it is a city hotel and we walked everywhere within the CBD from the hotel. Good supply of tea and coffee in the room and all amenities were provided for. helpful reception staff. This is not a luxury hotel, but for an inner city hotel by the railway station it was good value for money. Would stay again if visiting melbourne.
