Came here today. Ordered the octopus with paprika and potatoes, the jamon croquettes and the gambas (prawns with garlic), sangria and a soft drink. Also asked for tap water.

Food was good. Octopus was tender and croquettes were crispy but not hot. Prawns never turned up. Neither did water.

Got tired of waiting so paid and left.

Whilst wait staff were nice, they were not attentive enough. Place was NOT full so forgetting to follow up on a dish is pretty poor form.

In spite of the myriad 'tapas' bars around Melbourne I don't feel it is a city that gets Spanish food. This little bar, tucked in a corner of the Vic market - hence the name (rincón is corner in Spanish), does its bit to change this.
It faithfully produces a number of Spanish stalwarts and does them well, while there is an all-star list of some top drops from the Rioja and Ribero del Duero as well as some nice beers.
Dishes such as pulpo a la feira (octopus) and pinchos morunos (marinated lamb skewers) aren't that well known in Australia but the El Rincón versions will change this.
A tabla of Spanish embutidos (charcuterie) was also on point.
Finish the meal like a Spaniard with an espresso and a digestif of hierbas (lurid coloured Spanish liqueur).

Much needed in Melbourne. Step away from the asian foodand american quicl food chains and get genuine Spanish tapas at a great price. Superb winelist and the service is as good as any you will find in Europe

Warm services and beautiful food have been experienced. Housemade sauces and steaks are highly recommended, you must try this Spanish restaurant in Queen Victoria Market. My husband and I would be back to this restaurant again at the last day of our trip.

當您進入這間西班牙餐廳,便會感受到店住及店員的熱誠招待。食物質素一流,尤其推薦牛排及店家特製的醬料,令人一試難忘。打算最後一天旅程時,再到餐廳品嚐佳餚。
