What an amazing trip to a remote and pristine part of Tasmania. The Odalesque is a great boat. Pieter the owner operator is really knowledgeable and welcoming, Peter our guide was incredibly experienced in all aspects of the wilderness, and knew his flora and fauna. Tim Hardy cooked us delicious and innovative meals having sourced unique and exceptional Tasmanian produce. The guided walks, small boat excursions and views were all fantastic.

With two other couples we chartered the Odalisque for 5 days in Port Davey/Bathurst Harbour. The trip began with a spectacular flight from Hobart which followed the coastline at low altitude.
The Odalisque is well appointed, with plenty of space and a well equipped Galley. The owner/skipper Pieter is an impressive guy, with a lot of boating experience and knowledge of the local waters. So too was the guide, who knew well the many walking trails as well as the local flora/ fauna and history of the area. We very much enjoyed their company and enthusiastic guidance around what must be one of the most dramatic waterways of the world.
To cap it off we did not just have a cook, Tim is a chef with years of experience in some well known restaurants including one we know, Vasse Felix.
We had no knowledge of Pieter or the Odalisque when booking this charter. The outcome was a very special experience amongst some majestic scenery. I hope you are as fortunate when you go as we were, with the weather.

This is an experience not to be missed. Wonderful service from the time of booking and throughout . Peter was a relaxed skipper , great company and made an itinerary that responded to all of our requests. Peter the guide had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and was similarly excellent company. Finally the food was excellent.

All phases from organising, greeting, flights, accommodation, and widely varying sub trips, were aided by a contact person, a skipper, a very knowledgeable guide and a chef, all genuinely desiring to please everybody.
Advantages were gained in a small group to have a quiet time in the wilderness, including onshore exploratory walking or climbing if desired.
Appreciation must be expressed for this trip was made possible, safe and pleasurable by catering for a Coeliac disease problem.
