I have emailed Barilla Bay Oysters twice and have had no response from them.
On past occasions when travelling to Sydney a couple of years ago I use to buy 6 dozen unopened and take them to my mum. Mum loved them.
The other Sunday we purchased three dozen unopened oysters.
We were told they were small and six extra were put in the bag. On getting them home most of the oysters were covered in mud and I had to wash them. It was a slimy mud and hard to come off. The oysters were indeed small.
The oysters should not have been sold as they were really not worth the trouble of opening them.
It was a great disappointment. Even greater was the fact that management hasn't even bothered to respond to my emails!

Kayla is warm and very attentive and helpful. We dropped a fork and she immediately reacted by giving us a new clean fork.

Food is tasty. Oysters are small but tasty.

Pacific oyster and abalone tour start at 11am , good to learn the environment of the Tasmania oyster , it was a bit disappointed as we cannot see the real harvested oyster directly from the ocean , however the food and staff was very good .

We were looking forward to having a few yummy oysters!
Still got the clean and creamy taste and takeaway one were good priced!
Shame there was not the ability to try their Worcestershire sauce?

Look, I've visited this lovely restaurant only a few times. The food is lovely but it's not a cheap option (especially for a family).
They offer some neat little takeaway Oyster Packs that are well-worth a try. These are very good value in my opinion.
The only downside (when I last visited) was that they didn't accept AMEX (not sure as to the status quo atm).
Give it a try. The quality will not let you down.
