Service never good and prices are way to high for some average wines. The ambience works well and a nice place to sit and ponder the universe. The food menu is too clever by half and hard to understand exactly what is on offer - keep it simple (not)! But for someone on a special diet, selection and options are poor so suggest don't eat there, just go for one drink and then find a bar that has service and a restaurant that has a simple menu.

We had cocktails (Collins) then share plates for dinner - we get to travel quite a bit so really can say this place is world class! Do try the sea urchin - the flavour and texture and freshness are all memorable. And also the Point Noir experiment w Dalrymples fine wines... and then there’s the location AND the view AND the service! Wunderbar!

After arriving in Hobart we were quite hungry and were recommended to go to the Glass House for a late lunch (we're talking 2:30pm).

Could not have chosen a better restaurant. Service was friendly and accomodating but the major standout was the food.
For plant based / vegan people this is the place to go! Super creative dishes and many options to choose from.
Don't be afraid to ask the chef as he will turn vegetables into something really exciting.
Not recommended when you follow strict WFPB - no oil as many of the dishes have oil or have components that are deep fried, but then again - I didn't ask for any specific no oil dishes and it wouldn't surprise me if the chef can accomodate this as well.

The wine list is also amazing....

Could not decide on what to order so we went with the Chef's Menu Tasmanian Focus.
This was simply the best meal we have ever eaten. The produce was strictly Tasmanian focused, well you could not have asked for better every dish was mouth watering. 7 serves every dish as good as the other. One of the dishes was Egg Plant which my wife was a little dubious on, but to the chef credit this was amazing as the others.
The waiter was professional and even matched the perfect wine to the menu.
Master Chef eat your heart out. Gordon Ramsey or Mat Preston would have loved this place.

This restaurant is not cheap but well worth it and a must if you truely want to experience the best of Tasmanian produce. Can't wait to return.

We were a large group and having about 10 varieties of sharing plates was a great option. Starting with oysters with ponzu sauce followed by Huon salmon sushi. Others delicious plates includes miso roasted eggplant with chilli caramel, braised beef cheek in red wine, Molesworth potatoes pickled kale roasted purple garlic aioli, Marinated lamb and Braised pork belly. I wasn't too keen on the Coles Bay sea urchin. We finished this very lovely meal with caramelized apple with Belgrove parmmeau parfait salted butterscotch. Beautiful!
