Had dinner here with the family and kids on our first night in Hobart and I have to say I was impressed. Food was excellent. Service brilliant and friendly. Good menu too. We eat indoors in the beautiful refurbished sandstone building in which the Resturant is housed. Very child friendly. You can order any of the pasta dishes for the kids half size which was great. Outdoor seating also. Would also suit couples for a romantic dinner overlooking the harbour.

Thank Eddie K

Thanks for coming in and for your kind words! We're glad you found our children's options to be flexible. (For other readers of this review - if you are curious - we don't have a separate children's menu, but we are more than happy to make small servings of pasta with tomato sugo, butter and cheese, or bolognaise sauce.) It was our absolute pleasure to look after you, and we hope to see you again soon!

Warm regards,
the Maldini team

We just had a great dinner tonight! It was all fresh and immaculately cooked! The flavours were just perfect. And even tho they don't have a kids menu they were very accomodating in smaller portions! We rebooked immediately! Friendly service but very professional! An enjoyable evening !

Hi Rachel,

Many thanks for your kind review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your time with us! Yes, we do subscribe to the somewhat Italian notion that kids can enjoy either sharing or eating "adult" food, and we find that it usually works really well. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Warm regards,
the Maldini team

What a magnificent setting and ambiance- had a late lunch- we had the Krispy skin duck and blue eye served on prawn, pea and mint risotto followed by a magnificent desert., all washed down with a great bottle of local Milton wine. Was one of the best seafoods ever had and service and friendliness of staff was top class

A lovely morning in Hobart, beautiful weather, and we just felt like taking a really long time over breakfast which merged into brunch. The staff was fine with that, didn't make any moves that might indicate we should leave. Very relaxing. Very friendly staff. Excellent sardines on toast. One of the best flat whites I've had. I would really recommend this for breakfast or lunch outside (there is also an indoors, if the weather would be less perfect).
