We had 3 nights here over Easter weekend with 2 kids, age 1 and 2 & 1/2. We found the apartment a little dated and squished in the living area but had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The communal laundry room was very clean and we used this daily. The games room was also handy as this killed a bit of in between time with the kids as toys and puzzles were available. The pool was also a hit with my husband and 2 yr old however the temperature seemed to vary a great deal. The staff were very friendly, there was plenty of parking available at all times and we even borrowed a few DVDs when we wanted a quiet night in. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else.

We stayed for 3 nights in Mid March in a one bedroom apartment, No 25.
The apartment was amazing, generously spacious, ultra clean and with great views of the Derwent River and city. Parking was plentiful and the price was much better value than a poky hotel bedroom in downtown Hobart.
These apartments are high on a hill above Hobart and about a five minute drive from downtown Hobart. You probably need a car if you stay here, or use taxis, the hills are steep but worth it for the views.
Landsdowne Cres is nearby with an excellent café (Landsdowne Café) and Paesano Café in the same street has a great pizza, pasta menu.
I couldn't fault Bay View Villas, I will return.

Stayed at this complex with my daughters family during a holiday in Hobart. Lovely villa unit with kitchenette, heated pool and family room. Even though there were lots of sporting groups there the place was very quiet. Really nice place to stay up the hill 5 minutes from the middle of Hobart.

Stayed in a one bedroom unit with a bay view. Everything about Bay View Villas was a positive experience. Reception and most importantly our room was spotless. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We chose the Villas as they are a short walk away from town and being new to Hobart we weren't sure of the size and noise that could come with the small city. All amenities were available in the unit. Full kitchen and full size fridge enabled us to enjoy meals at the unit with the view of the harbour and with the constantly arriving cruises made us appreciate the serenity even more. The tours we booked either called to the units or came to the road down from Poets road. Washing machines and dryers were available downstairs with the laundry also being serviced daily. Will definately re-book at The Bay View. Thank you.

I stayed at the Bay View Villas for a week in early March 2018, with my partner. We stayed in a recently renovated one bedroom unit, with a full kitchen. We had an absolutely amazing view of Hobart City and the bay beyond - it was a beautiful view, particularly in the morning as the sun was rising and late at night with the moon and stars in full view.

Our room was absolutely spotless when we arrived! Truth be told, the entire hotel was absolutely spotless and smelled of fabric softener the whole time we were there - the games room, laundry, pool area, and reception area, were all immaculately clean! I highly commend the owners for committing themselves to such a high standard of cleanliness. I've stayed in five star hotels which could learn a thing or two from these guys.

We had everything we needed in our room - a full kitchen, lounge room, and dining area. The bed was very comfortable and firm, and the bathroom was new and modern. The tub is a little shallow, so if you're hoping to soak in the tub during your stay, you may find that a little tricky! The water pressure from the shower is very strong - excellent. Nothing worse than having a shower that produces only a measly trickle of water.

There is no room service, but breakfast options are offered, for an additional cost. There are many cafes and shops nearby, so you'll have plenty of options in terms of eating out or making your own meals within the comfort of your room.

I would strongly recommend buying your own seafood at the docks and then cooking it in your own kitchen (turn on the overhead fan to prevent the smoke alarm going off) - the local seafood is divine and it is even better when you've cooked it yourself.

Lots of on-site parking! There are a few spots in an underground lock-up garage, with even more spots outside the lower level of rooms.

I would easily return to Bay View Villas again. Highly recommend it to anyone hoping to travel to Hobart.
