The bridge that links the main town with outlying islands is used for daily transportation now .It has a history of mishap when a boat collided killing few people and making the bridge unusable for 3 years when repairs for the bridge were under way .

Really nice views of the city coming in from the airport. Interesting design for a bridge and provides great photo opportunities day or night. Passed under bridge on a ferry trip and heard about the bridges tragic history and another perspective to get photos.

I saw the bridge from a boat as I was talón the bay tour. It is a very long bridge, built in a special way and Ifigenia touring the bay or driving around its nice to see even though Tasmania has much more to offer

This beautiful bridge has an interesting and sad history with the ship collision and loss of life in 1975.
When I could see the bridge from various lookouts, including Mount Wellington, I was keen to take photo's each time.
The bridge, water and awesome surrounding hillls, inspires one to just look, or take more photo's.

The gorgeous, spectacular structure of the famous Tasman Bridge will welcome all to Hobart (who travel from the Eastern Shore).
The bridge offers some of the most spectacular views in the world - down the Derwent River, over the Hobart and up to Mt Wellington (kunanyi).
