Great Hotel in Hobart

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Dec 2023via mobile
Stayed for two nights on a recent trip to Hobart and really enjoyed our stay.

Location is great, right in the middle of town so it's an easy walk anywhere you'd like to go in town.

The room was really well appointed and comfortable. Loved the shutters over the windows and our room had a fantastic view to boot.

Staff were brilliant to deal with, no request was too much trouble.

Highly recommend this great hotel if you are in Hobart.

Stayed for 5 nights during a work trip to Hobart. The hotel is very well located for the CBD and has good car parking.
The hotel is beautifully designed, incorporating historic architecture with the modern.
Our king room was spacious with a comfortable bed, perfect pillows, good size fridge and everything needed for a pleasant stay. Housekeeping was excellent and the bathroom was kept spotless every day.
The bar is great (though could do with more seats). Breakfast buffet was also really good.
Really enjoyed this stay and will be back.

We stayed in the penthouse on the 8th floor. Was nice & clean. The outside area was big with lovely views of the water & the mountains, we only wish the weather was a bit nicer to enjoy more time sitting outside! All staff were professional & very friendly, reception staff fantastic & we were able to check in early as our room was ready. Staff at breakfast greeted us daily with a friendly welcome. We received a welcome gift of a bottle of red wine & chocolates & a hand written card wishing my husband a happy 50th birthday (the reason for our trip). A good central location to shops & a short walk to Salamanca & the waterfront. Would stay again next time we are in Tas 😊

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom Deluxe Harbour View Apartment for 4 nights in May and are so glad we chose RACV Hobart. Our corner apartment was on the top floor, or Premium level, with stunning 180 degree views over the harbour and around to Kunanyi (Mt Wellington). Inside was spacious, warm & comfortable, while the balcony was simply massive with an outdoor lounge and enough space for a large gathering. Staff were fantastic and so helpful. We had room-service pizzas on our 1st night (huge & delicious) well-priced and extensive buffet breakfast 2 mornings, and drinks in the beautiful lobby bar 2 evenings during happy hour. The location is great, close to the harbour, shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Here for work. We arrived a few hours earlier and completed the pre check in and advised the rooms were not ready. Which we were expecting, however the staff member that attended to us said they would send us a text once the room was available.
Knowing this we headed to the bar/lounge area and worked there until 2pm to which I headed back to the reception to then have the same staff member in a joking manner say to me that it was funny that straight after you pre checked in the rooms became available. No text message was sent to either myself or my colleague.
I don’t think I would be feeling disappointed by the service if there was an apology of some sort. I frequently stay at the Torquay RACV and the staff are exceptional there. Experience on this trip has been disappointing as it has not lived to the usual RACV standards.
The room is somewhat dated. There are no refreshments in the mini fridge to purchase, unlike other establishments.
If you are here for work, the desk is crammed against the wall and bed leaving little room for you to move the chair. If you are a larger person, this is just not practical at all! See photo.

Room tip: If you are here for work and require use of the desk etc it’s not a great set up at all.
