Parking nearby is easy to find on a Sunday morning, so pop to the markets and wander around. There is a wide variety of fresh food from local producers and you can always find some things to buy. Except in terrible weather, it’s lovely to walk around these markets and buy good food from local people.

Personally, I enjoyed this market so much more than Salamanca, which was so crowded I could barely see the stalls. Also, the food here was infinitely better than what my husband and I had at Salamanca. We came here in the morning at 8:20, just before the bell rang. It was so cool to hear the bell so would totally recommend going in early. The crisp morning air makes the food and drinks so much more enjoyable! I had an applecino, which is hot and frothy apple juice, and some corn pancakes with beans from a stall. Simply delicious. You can also buy fresh produce to cook at home.

Such a welcoming neighbourly atmosphere at this market.
A range of fresh produce plus the other usual products. The Ashbolt olive oil is worth trying as is the popular local bread close by.
A nice place to visit on a Sunday morning.

Loads of eating places.

The farm gate market was a lovely relaxed market, a great change of pace to the Salamanca markets. It was booming with fresh produce and colorful stall holders ready to show off their goods.
