Mike was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, professional and adaptable. We had some rainy and rough conditions however this was handled brilliantly by Mike and Meg. Boat felt very stable, the food was tasty and very 'Tasmanian'. Loved when the boat went into the cave and we were able to view fossils so closely and clearly. An awesome experience!

Wonderful boat tour to Maria Island with Michael and Meg. Started the tour heading out to Ile Des Phoques where we passed several schools of dolphins on the way. Once we arrived we saw hundreds of sea lions and were able to go into two amazing sea caves! Then we headed for a trip around Maria Island making several stops to look at different rock formations and beaches. Had a lovely lunch anchored in Riedle Bay - beautiful! We finished the tour with a stop at Darlington and had a couple of hours to explore. It was an incredible experience that we would highly recommend.

This company provides an excellent trip to visit Ike de Phoques (Seal island) and Maria Island. We were picked up in Hobart and taken to the docks about 1:15 north of Hobart. After a safety briefing we motoredover the island with a zillion fur seals. They were obviously used to the boat being there so we were able to get up close for great photos. The seals were playing in the water and on the rocks as well as laying about. They told us about scuba diving there and about the geology. Afterward we motored over to Maria, had lunch in a quiet bay, and visited the penal colony at Darlington. They gave us a guided tour. We enjoyed the wombats and also saw wallabies and several kangaroos. The final part of the trip was looking at the geology of Maris Island. It’s an interesting and complex place.

We had a beautiful day and learned a lot. I strongly recommend East Coast Cruises.

What a perfect way to complete our five week journey around Tasmania. The scenery was fantastic. the staff were brilliant, the lunch was delicious and very well presented and even the weather was perfect. Captain Mike was fantastic. His knowledge and passion for everything was clearly demonstrated all day.
