Stayed in the cottage accommodation and loved it. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Loft bedroom warm and cosy on a cold night. Bed comfortable - electric blanket very much appreciated. Perfect location in North Hobart - so many restaurants to chose from. Although we planned on using the cottages kitchen facilities we were drawn to all the different cuisines available within an easy walk. Comfortable walking distance to shopping and markets. Jeff was a wonderful host (didn't get to meet Julie) giving us lots of ideas for day tripping. Breakfast was perfect - loved the fresh fruit! Highly recommend.

Jeff, the manager, met us at door and provided us with good ideas for seeing Hobart. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. The private and public rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and the self serve continental breakfast was well presented and more than sufficient. Just a short walk to the centre of town. Thoroughly enjoyed our three nights there.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. Our bedroom and bathroom was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was plentiful with cereals, juices, fresh fruit salad, fruit compotes, different yoghurts , with toast or crumpets to finish off with tea or coffee. It was served in a lovely dining room.
The location was perfect for us and within easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants and Hobart CBD.Jeff and Julie were perfect hosts .We can highly recommend this beautiful Bed & Breakfast.

Room tip: All rooms are excellent

Everything that everyone else has covered is so true - you wont be disappointed. The things I loved were the gardens, the old music at breakfast, how friendly Jeff and Julie were, the parking permit, how close it was to the harbour (8 blocks), how easy the hill was to walk, the comfortable bed and pillows, the fruit at breakfast was so fresh, the great water pressure in the showers and how close it was to the restaurant strip of North Hobart. It suited me perfectly for what I wanted to do in Hobart. Thanks Julie and Jeff for a great time. Cheers, Graham & Darryl

Lovely old building, but could do with a freshen up. Breakfast is continental, which was just cereal and toast, which was OK after 2 weeks of big breakfasts. Located within a short walk to a great variety of restaurants, pubs and cafes. No great views, but friendly helpful owner.

Room tip: Probably suggest a ground floor if you have a lot of luggage. No views from any room, so no real preference.
