I stayed two nights at the Lodge on Elizabeth while attending a conference. It was a lovely base to come home to after a busy day rather than going to a busy impersonal hotel. The location was convenient, with the Elizabeth Street eating precinct a short walk (two blocks) up the road, and about 15 to 20 mins stroll to the city. My room was furnished in heritage style, in keeping with the era of the beautiful old house, but still had everything needed and was very clean. Breakfast was provided in continental style. There was a charming lounge room, complete with tea, coffee, port, chocolates and an electric fire, which I utilised while catching up with an old friend I hadn't seen for years. Thanks for the hospitality, Jeff.

We stayed three nights before our Tasmania tour and one night after the tour - one of our very best B & B experiences - and we have been to many in our lifetime! The host and hostess were extremely gracious - attentive - and businesslike - all of these qualities are important in running a B & B. The breakfast was divine - even when we were few - the effort and display was splendid - the accommodations were superb - the location perfect - this is why folks stay at B & B's - home away from home - and the Lodge on Elizabeth Street delivered. My partner and I stayed at this beautiful property. Jeff was a perfect host!! Our room was very lovely and cosy, the old antique style give all the character to the property. It is a piece of history in the middle of the city.
A very charming holiday I will strongly recommend.

From the moment we walked into Jeff & Julie's Lodge on Elizabeth they instantly made us all feel instantly relaxed. We visited here early June 2016 with 2 other couples (one of the couples second visit). The room was nice & quiet, very good size with an excellent sized bathroom all lovely & warm. Great location in North Hobart right in amongst the best selection of local restaurants & bars etc. The breakfast is exceptionally good & Jeff & Julie are always on hand to help out with any requests.
A great find & will be back here on next visit.
Graeme & Robyn

Room tip: I believe our room number 10 was their largest room & it also had a spa.

Fantastic place. Excellent breakfast. Nice cozy lounge with a drink of port available. Nice quiet garden at rear and easy to get tobHoart centre on foot. Not an awful lot of parking available but can park nearby on street.
