We visited Mövenpick Hobart two times during our round trip in Tasmania. Location is very good in city center.

Our room with the view to the Harbour was nice, comfortable beds and practical bathroom. The second room was facing the Post Office and the bell was ringing every hour. It was little annoying but not hotels fault.

Service at the reception was very friendly and easy going. Breakfast was combination of buffet (that was enough for us) and many a la carte dishes to choose. Tasty food and good barista coffee.

The Italian Tesoro restaurant was very popular in the evenings. We had dinners there. Delicious food and friendly service.

The Movenpick hotel was exactly as described, walking in was like entering the photos we had seen. The view was fabulous, bed was comfortable and staff service was excellent. We enjoyed beautiful breakfasts every day as well as chocolate hour in the afternoons. I would come back here.

Room tip: The restaurant was great, you do need to book for dinner. A shout out to our waiter, Phillipe, who was amazingly attentive.

Don’t be fooled by the photos on their website! We were provided with a room that was 6 feet from the wall of an adjacent building! Almost total darkness! We refused to stay in it and received an upgrade to a higher category. We ended up with a view across an alley. We upgraded by 24 feet to a view of the building across the alley! A slice of blue sky visible outside the corner of the window! Tiny room no view!

We came to stay at the Movenpick hotel in Hobart for three nights. The service has been excellent from the reception staff to the breakfast staff to the evening staff for drinks. Our room does not have a view, but that did not pose a problem to us it’s a very nice room with a decent size area a king bed and a decent size shower toilet area. This hotel is well-placed, very close to the city and within walking distance to all the local points of interest. We arrived early and were able to have an early check-in in our room, and we cannot complain at all about the service provided from this hotel we have a king bed in this room , and the bed is very comfortable and very pleased to give this Hotel a great review.

This is a fabulous hotel. Our check-in was a bit bumpy. Our suite wasn't ready for about an hour after check-in. However once we got up to our room we forgot all about it. The room was spacious. The furnishings were to the standard of what we expected. We had an amazing view off our balcony.
There was a full bathroom with a powder room. My husband loved the rain shower because he is extremely tall.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Even though it wasn't a buffet, we loved it! There is plenty of food. There was no need for me to purchase a coffee as they have a great coffee machine.
The only downfall is that it is valet parking only. If you're prepared to pay the $35 a night, it's not a problem.
The position of the hotel was so central that we were able to walk everywhere.
If we go back to Hobart, we would definitely stay there again
