Comfortable, clean and modern. Everything you need without the grandeur (or price) of a massive hotel. Amazing homemade bread. Free movie channels are a bonus. A little weird that there is no extractor fan in the bathroom.

We stayed here the past two nights on our way back north. It is close to the shopping precincts as well as the water eating areas od Salamanca and Constitution dock. The rooms are clean and modern. The rooms are very small though compared to others we have stayed in Tasmania. The parking accross the road was rather annoying and can be expensive if you come and go too often.

Room Tip: Higher floors will assist with a view beyond the hospital accross the road

Spent a couple of nights here recently for business and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Hobart. Good location, facilities, value, and great staff.

I stay in a lot of hotels around the country for work and there are two things that make a hotel great for a business trip; the room itself and the staff. I arrived inHobart short one suitcase full of equipment thanks to an airline stuff up which meant I needed to come up with an alternative approach to the next days work. Being after midnight I didn't like my chances of getting access to the facilities I needed to make this happenbut thought I would check with the reception desk anyway. Not only did the night manager offer every available resource, he stood there for some time with me collating and stapling documents until the job was done, and all with a smile.

The room itself was really nice for the price and had all the room and deskspace I look for in a business room. If I was travelling with my wife I would definitely stay there again. The one bedroom apartment I had would make a great weekend base for exploring Hobart or just hiding away for a few days.

Room Tip: Book a one bedroom apartment for the extra space!

This hotel is ideally situated close to the centre of Hobart. It's an easy walk to shops, waterfront and Salamanca Place. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant while not open as often as we would've liked was a good relaxed place to eat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment in the hotel which was well fitted out, beds comfy, rooms very clean and serviced well daily. All amenities were good. This hotel was good value for money though I wouldn't like to be in one of the rooms which back onto the multi story car park behind the hotel. Overall our stay was a very good experience.

We had read the reviews and asked for a higher floor room when we booked - which we got. Service was great. Room good. Car parking in Market Street was not a problem at all - it was raining, and the short walk from the car park to the hotel was all under cover. Location fabulous - a short walk to the harbour and Salamanca Place. The small restaurant in the foyer was so handy for breakfast. Don't forget to turn right outside the hotel and visit the bar on the corner - it was an old garage and has been revamped in petrol head style. Fun. ( Next to the "Budgie Smuggler" burger bar!)
