After waiting a long time for our meals despite the place being almost empty, both meals delivered were not what was ordered. We were offered replacement meals but weren't able to wait longer as we had our young kids with us. After we told them we didn't want replacements, we were ignored while the staff argued with each other about what had happened, until I approached the counter minutes later as we were ready to leave. Thankfully they told us that we weren't expected to pay, but the attempted apology felt very forced and insincere.

I have never written a restaurant review, let alone a bad one but this restaurant compelled me to do so.
After being seated outside as there was no room inside, which we were fine with. It appeared we were forgotten outside as our order didn't get taken until I got up and asked. Following a long wait for drinks, only one was finally delivered, which was incorrect anyway. Then the waitress informed us that they had run out of pumpkin for the pizza, we happily reordered another pizza option.
After waiting 15 minutes, we still had not received the pinot grigio wine so we kindly asked if it was far off. When they delivered the drink it was a sparkling wine instead served in a grubby glass with floaties.
After seeing this, we decided that was enough and decided to leave. We explained the situation to what seemed to be the manager on site, she apologised, offered to fix the drink however we were set on leaving. She kindly waived the fee for the coffee and apologised again.

Met friend here for morning tea. Lovely day, so sat outside. Special of cake and coffee for $9.50. Lemon meringue pie, cream and ice cream was very good. Coffee ok. Staff friendly.

Misleading menu, poor food.

Had the ‘corn fritters’ when there was only half a corn fritter in the dish. We also had ‘scrambled eggs on sourdough with grilled bacon’. The bacon was fried in oil & the bread was top top white toast. Non edible.

When we noted that the menu is misleading, we had an apology from the waitress but she then gladly took our money.

Only positive was a nice healthy lime tree in the courtyard to look at.

A good comfortable choice. Nothing that’s going to set your tastebud alight but certainly nothing dull or negative. You’ll get served with a pleasant smile and a good menu selection. Being at the city end of Salamanca it may get overlooked but it’s worth your consideration.
