Sorry, I have reviewed the lounge before, but I have to re-confirm this establishment.

Last night we booked pre dinner drinks for a milestone birthday, Bar Staff were happy to setup a table for a small group, no hesitation.

Sorry Erin Webb, special mention again, you are amazing, We visited a few months ago for a post wedding drink, and your memory is amazing. Ellie and I are in awe of the level of service you provide. Please promise you aren't going to leave!!!!!

The décor in the room is more like a lounge with the most comfortable space you will ever see. Please have a look for yourself.

Watching to boats coming and going adds to the magic of this place.

See you again soon, promise we will be doing a dinner.

It’s just become a very high ranking restaurant and well deserved as it has a great room, showing off good wines and sensational staff. We were warmly welcomed and seated in a delightful harbour view room facing Constitution Dock, The restaurant is attractive and welcoming on a cold night and our table for two is attractive, private - can’t hear the neighbours, and comfortable. Our main waiter - a young man from Victoria- Greets us warmly and as it’s my partner’s birthday we have a complimentary Frogmore bubbles. The menu is not extensive but interesting with lots of matching wines available. We chose freshly shucked Pipe Clay oysters - $26 a half dozen and they were in fine condition. Bread is $11.00 and as we had a hearty breakfast with bread we decided to give that a miss but I did think the price jarred a little - however the serves of drinks were superiorly generous compared to any restaurant, I have been in Australia. The mains were around $31.00 each and we chose the porterhouse and tea smoked duck, with fondant/cheese potatoes and broccolini with nuts. Broccolini was perfectly cooked and presented but I think the chef needs to improve the potato dish which was too liquid to be considered a potato - I’d aim for a more Paris mash (say like Gillaume of perhaps Neil Perry when he was regularly at the pass). I can not fault the flavours of mains, the porterhouse was well cooked and presented but it had suffered what seems to be a sous vide approach and possibly needed to be finished off on the grill better. The tea smoked duck was a generous double breast with good smoked flavours but again had a rubbery sous vide texture with soft skin and poorly presented in two lumps - perhaps nicely carved would have made it more appetising and the sauce was under the duck - as the skin had a limp texture it might be worth rethinking that and perhaps a bit more heat (warmer) to the table. Flavours good but not quite as good as it should have been. We opted for the cheese plate which was generous but perhaps too many condiments - a little less is more here. This was served with a sensational reisling. Staff, room, 10 out of 10 - and a 7/10 for food. We will go back because I’m sure they can get there.

Frogmore Lounge has opened since their high end restaurant Atmosphere closed down earlier in the year. This beautiful lounge right on the waterfront is an excellent place to relax and take in the water views. All wines are from the Frogmore Winery near Cambridge. They have Sparkling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir. They offer a wide range of light meals and bar snacks and the service is excellent. Great place for both locals and visitors. They also have a restaurant with an international al a carte menu 7 days a week.

Alex, Ed and Borsche ensured our night with friends finished as well as it started. Such special memories were created thanks to the hospitality and attention to detail of these men. Highly recommend Frogmore Creek Lounge for a special night with special friends!
