There are many things for you to see, do and experience in the area around Coober Pedy.

Down To Erth sits right up there at the top of the list, allowing you to live, breathe and feel just how comfortable and natural underground living can be. The accommodation is practical, spacious and quite unique, with an amazingly effective natural airflow (we arrived in 43° C).

Did I mention how cool it is? You will be amazed at the quality of sleep you have due to the natural abundance of cool fresh air instead of the whine of air conditioning which is the norm for this region.

Your every need is catered for, thanks to the thoughtfulness and attention to detail by Alex & Rose. When you stay here, I'm sure you will be adding Down To Erth to your very own list of unforgettable experiences.

Have a safe journey,

Pete Nunn, Tassie & Sue Cannon, Genéve.

I travelled to Cooper pedy with my husband, 2 yr old son, mother and brother. After a very long drive, we needed to relax and Down to Erth was the perfect place to do this. It was a real pleasure staying there en route to Uluru. We also stayed on our journey back from Uluru to Adelaide. The rooms are spacious and comfy, lots of space in the living areas and it was great having the plunge pool! Rose and Alex were so helpful (especially when our car wouldnt start!) and also having left clothes in the dryer when we left, Rose was very kind to send these back to us. I would definately recommend this place and I will most certainly stay here again!

We stayed at Down to Erth twice - on our way to Uluru from Adelaide and back again - and would highly recommend it! Everything needed to make ourselves at home was supplied - the plunge pool was refreshing after our long drive, the wine and chocolates were a lovely touch and the breakfast provisions were more than generous - definitely the most comfortable place we stayed on our journey. And, it's always nice to stay in a place with soul and a story - Rose and Alec were more than happy to have a chat and explain the origins of Down to Erth B&B.. Fantastic! :-)

comfortable and clean; just the bathroom is not on the same floor of the room so you have to climb few steps also to take water for the coffee and to take your luggage out. Overall is a good experience
