Loved this place. We didnt have a reservation so we were given a 20 minute wait and got in. It is extremely popular so I recommend making a reservation. The menu is creative with both typical and less typical options. If you like Indian food you will find things you will like. Service is excellent. A good wine selection. I had the chicken masala and my son had the lamb korma and a few side diahes snd all were delicious. You cant go wrong here.
The food was fantastic and you are not short on a serve. They have a very nice mango chutney and as an added bonus they have Jameson whiskey to wash it all down with
My mates and I have been going to the Jasmin since the late 80s when we first started working. It is consistently delicious, charming and excellent value for money. The service is genuine, friendly and unobtrusive. Then there's the food which has passed into legend (that vindaloo!) I can't comment as to whether it's authentic Indian like you'd find on the sub-continent, but who cares when it's this good? Deservedly one of the top 10 restaurants in Adelaide and at $33 per head, the lunchtime banquet is still king. Thanks to the Singh family and Simon for looking after us all these years.
The atmosphere cannot be compared. It's rare to find a restaurant below ground level. We were well attended to for drinks and the food was of a high standard and came in a timely manner. The staff were attentive to us and the front of house manager very courteous. Overall a pleasant experience.
