Situated in the east end of the city this restaurant is a busy hub of activity. Very good service with attentive staff who are around when needed. Beer is excellent although a little pricey and the meals were exceptional and well priced. Shared a couple of entrees which were good, standout being the croquettes. Sides were small and not particularly good value. All in all a good experience and made even more so as we had a discount by using our entertainment books!

Although we have a Belian Beer cafe here in Melbourne, we rarely seem to visit. I suspect this is because of having to drive into the city, from the suburbs. In Adelaide, there were no such restrictions. Our car sat in the hotel's car park while I savoured the fabulous Belle Vue Kriek beer. Not that I drank a great deal, but just enough to manage my taste buds. This place is always busy, no matter what time of day we walk through the door.

Ebenezer Place, is on the right hand side of Rundle Street, as you walk towards East Terrace. They utilised a section of the old East End Market and built this oasis; that . has numerous eating establishments; with food shops to cater for every taste.
Ebenezer Place, also has stalls and many curio shops. There are also apartment buildings in the enclave, for the more trendy people.
It is a quiet area, considering how close the area is to Rundle Street, you don't hear any car noises.
The "Belgian Beer Café Oostende" was opened in 2002. Oostende is a little fishing village in West Flanders, Belgium, so the establishment is a little piece of Belgium in Adelaide.
The building, has a dining section on your right hand side as you enter, and a bar section on the left, which serves meals as well.
It has 40 variety of beer, either on tap or in bottles.
The menu is slightly limited on the bar side, whereas on the restaurant side it is more comprehensive; but the prices of the food reflect this.
You can sit outside under umbrella's for shade, inside next to the window, where you can view artwork, people walking past or the "Nano Café".
The premises has antique furniture and lighting; at night you could sit outside on grass under the night sky.
The meals cater for vegetarians; because you can order a vegetarian burger; but the person who had this dish, stated that it was very salty. The Belgium burger I had was nice, until I reached the bottom of the burger and the mustard they had put on the burger was very hot; both meals were served with chips and sauerkraut.

Visited here with my wife for a couple of beers and a snack. This place never disappoints as is obvious my the number of patrons.
It was just lovely sitting outside enjoying a great cold beer with my good lady watching the people walk by. The snacks were delivered promptly and as normal thoroughly enjoyable. Next time in Adelaide I will be back.
