Dined for lunch and decided on the 5 course degustation. Began with appetiser of oysters. Unfortunately not oyster eaters but without any issues these were replaced with a delightful vegetable taster. 5 courses consisted of chicken wing, yellowfin whiting, beef, pork belly and chocolate moussse. All meals were extremely well presented and all were well flavoured. At the end of the meal, the chef came with a mixed box of petit fours and to ensure all was well with our meal. Highly recommended especially for special event. Service was impeccable. Attentive and friendly. A really lovely lunch and venue.

Attended this much hyped up place for significant birthday celebration. HoG ‘preferred’ cake supplier could not provide a sponge with 3 days notice and HoG advised no suitable dessert for candles; so we took a $5 cake from Woolworths just for the candles.
Got advised right at time of celebration (after the $1200 meal cost) that cake could not be served because of ‘hygiene’ factors. We didn’t ask for their staff to eat it! And I wonder what Woolworths would have to say about their product being unhygienic.
Really poor form at the HoG. And on reflection the food and wine is OVERPRICED.
Avoid it.

Percehd above and overlooking the famous Adelaide Oval, this dinning experience is extremely memorable.
The degustation menu is amazing, so many taste sensations.
The service is highly commendable. The staff were knowledgable, caring but also unobtrusive but extremely efficient,

We experienced the roof climb package on our visit. The choices we had were still pretty amazing. I had the lemon oysters, grilled octopus, lamb and then the pear ice-cream (to die for). Nothing on the plate was out of place - or went uneaten!

From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave the level of service is outstanding.

Equally the food and wine options are amazing.

I have had an awesome experience. You can opt for al la carte and degustation. Now for me i am in Adelaide for work so this is an opportunity for the work life balance.

I wasn’t too hungry however was helped by the suggestion of food and wine matching.

I went for a light dinner and left felling very satisfied. I started with the pork entree and followed with Kangaroo tartare and side dish. OMG outstanding

Now this place is tricky to get a table, plan ahead for your trip to Adelaide or if local a must do. You can book via lots if options.

All i can say is ill be back as soon as i can
