This was more like an experience than just going out for dinner. It is a degustation where you get 24-ish tastings of locally sourced food. We chose the food and wine pairing degustation and it cost nearly $700 (for two people). Every meal that is served is fully described so you know where the food comes from and how it is prepared/cooked. What they do with the ingredients is truly very clever and skilful - and certainly yummy. We were both very full by the end of the evening.
Personally, I found the evening a little tedious. It is difficult to converse over dinner when you are continually interrupted and described your next tasting. We were happy to see the last few dishes served.
This is a completely personal point of view though - the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. My irritation is not in any way a reflection of the service or the quality of food - if you like that sort of thing, you'll love it. It is a similar experience to the Magill Estate Restaurant.
Great food and service but not somewhere to go for a romantic dinner.

I don't often give a restaurant an excellent rating but this place is really good. Apart from the decor which is Danish minimalist and a little bare we very much enjoyed the experience of the lunch time degustation menu. It's not cheap but we thought was good value for such interesting, beautifully cooked and presented food. We will definitely return for the winter menu.

Great meal, great experience
No menu to chose from, your only option is wine pairings or not - we opted not and chose a local wine which we enjoyed. You have a large number of small offerings that are delivered over a 3 hour period. All courses were tasty and we enjoyed trying more unusual items such as the infamous green ants plate.
Pace is sensible but it's worth arriving hungry - although gourmet food there is a lot of it!!!

Restaurant is nice, small waiting area where we ordered our wine and had our first glass there before being seated. Tables are well positioned and not on top of each other although there is one table to avoid near the entrance to the hallway where the toilets can be found.

Pricey but worth it - highly recommend

Second visit. First was brilliant, this was better. Changing menu, exotic local ingredients , beautiful presentation and every mouthful a treat. Huge variety on degustation menu, brave matched wines and excellent service. This is an expensive outing, but no better way to celebrate. Thanks Shannon and Greta, what a night to remember
