I was a bit hesitant to eat here as we have had some of the most amazing food when we were travelling around Morocco and it upsets me when someone who has had a dish once tries to recreate it and it goes wrong.
I was so wrong to think that this would not live up to the food I have had. Firstly we were surprised that it was almost full midweek, always a good sign!
We had the chicken pastilla to start which was seasoned to perfection! For main I had the saffron chicken which was amazing and my partner had the lamb which was also amazing.
The bread is made exactly as you find it in the souks.
We left feeling extremely full but realised that everyone was getting their left overs to go - in future we will enjoy what we can and take he rest home in a doggy bag!

Marrakech was a flavour bomb with wonderful service.

We had the mixed entre starter (fresh dips, spicy sausage, kebabs), lamb tagine, saffron rice and fresh baked bread.
It was all delicious, fresh and packed full of flavour.

However what we enjoyed more than the food was the wonderful hospitality. A little treat for our little one, mint tea when we asked for the bill and rosewater upon leaving, what a lovely lovely place with yummy food.

My partner and I went there for dinner in November. Service was very friendly, albeit sometimes a little slow. We had to remind staff about drinks we had ordered. I will be honest and say we were the only ones sitting outside and the restaurant itself was quite busy. It also appeared there were only two staff members. Next time we go we'll probably sit inside as the outdoor dining area is not very nice. It is right on the street, so a lot of traffic passing behind you. The outdoor dining area in general was not inviting, but we tried anyway. Sitting indoor would probalby have enhanced the dining experience.
The food was excellent. We shared the mezza platter and afrah tagine. The mezza platter came with three different dips and three different types of meat and fresh bread for dipping. The dips were fresh and had a lot of flavour, the meat was good, well cooked and nicely flavoured. The tagine was piping hot with a lot of sauce. The waiter recommended to order bread as a side to mop up the sauce. An excellent recommendation, but offering the bread complimentary would be better as you really can't do without. The tagine was pretty sweet, so sharing the dish was the perfect way to get a taste without the sweetness becoming too much. The complimentary small glass of tea is a nice touch. Overall a good experience and we'll certainly go back to try other dishes.
