We purposely didn't have breakfast at home so we could have it at the Markets - so many options! We ate first but you could totally just graze as you go. Loved the French Market with divine pates and terrine.
The Market layout is simple and the produce is fresh and great quality. Parking is fairly reasonable too. It really caters for all tastes including game meat eaters, cheese lovers, and delicious options for vegetarians and gluten intolerants. Definitely worth the visit for your grocery stocks.

We had to have a look at the markets and weren't disappointed. Everything was so clean and tidy. Great assortment of stalls and shops. If we weren't on holidays we would have bought more and gone back weekly. I wish we had something like this on the Gold Coast.

Make sure you walk down each isle and if you’re lucky you might be able to sample some of the great, fresh produce at this market. Lots of spots to sit and enjoy a coffee or sweet treat whilst people watching. It’s closed Sundays which I thought was strange but nonetheless it’s worth a visit!

I took an late afternoon walk from the hotel to Central Market to check out the local vibes and neighbourhoods. Lots of stalls from local merchants selling souvenirs, foods, beverages, household items.
I would highly recommend to come for a browse at A.C.M on your visit.
Note: Business hours is typically 9AM to 5:30PM only

Nice setup, great foods and loads of fruit shopping and veggies. Which is great and cheap.
Minimal butchers and only 3 very expensive fish shops. I would expect Adelaide being a sea town that fish selection would be great and cheap. But no! $ 23 dollars per kg for snapper?
23 dollars a dozen the oysters where they produce them right there in Coffin bay and around?
Anyway worth visiting...Once

A true foodies market. Tantalising treats from all corners of the globe. I attended later in the day and got some great bargains from one of the fruit stalls. Plenty of bread, patisserie items, meat, seafood, fresh fruit and veg etc.

My wife was on a mission and I came along. There are a lot of shops to see at the central market. The streets have benches to rest and watch the people go by. Shop staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful.

I go to the market if i need food for different cuisines. The fruit & veg is generaly great value, there are many too chose from. The bariety of fish is spectacular with again lots to chose from. The smallgoods and bread is to die for and the Asian groceries and food stall are amazing, Chinatown included. A visit to the market is a true multicultural experience & culinary delight.
