Restaurant is in the Crowne Plaza at Hindmarsh Square.
Great Exec Chef, Bradd Johns, a local boy with international credentials, great food, staff are excellent. Hotel and Restaurant Management really care about the quality of your experience - and it shows. A definite must do.

Had dinner here a few times while staying at Crowne Plaza Hotel in September 2011.

I ordered the steak a few times and every time it was fantastic, cooked to my preference. Side dishes are extras but they are worth the money. Try the carrots and the signature roast thick chips with herbs.

Staff provided good friendly service on each occasion.

Prices are what I expect for major hotels and I consider that reasonable. Buffet breakfast are on the pricey side, especially there are plenty of competition nearby in Adelaide and North Adelaide providing more or less the same thing.

When I made a reservation over the phone for a meal at this restaurant, the person I spoke to asked me if the booking was for a special occasion. I said that it was - for a birthday. The person asked me some questions, such as the name of the person celebrating the birthday. I told him, and I was wondering if this meant that a nice surprise might be waiting for us, such as a little card or a chocolate or something like that. Well it was certainly a surprise, as when we arrived, they had no record of my reservation. After such a pleasant
conversation when I booked, I just couldn't believe that they had no record of it. However, we were given a table, and a waiter gave us menus and upoured water. The first
disappointment was the menu - it didn't really appeal. The mains were $30 - $40 but didn't
come with any vegetables or salad, so you have to order these as a side dish for $8 ,
which bumps the price up. My partner enquired about the mixed grill - $34 , and the waiter
recommended it and said it was very good. I had grilled snapper and we ordered side
dishes of beans and fattouche salad. The mixed grill arrived and consisted of a tiny portion
of steak, a tiny portion of chicken, HALF a sausage and a tiny portion of fish - the end bit
near the tail, very thin. We were so disappointed. We complained to the waiter, who
brought over the manager. When we queried the size of the serving, he said "well, this IS
a tasting plate". Didn't say that on the menu. Then the accompanying peppercorn sauce
arrived and it was awful. We told the waiter, who offered to replace it with a seeded mustard
sauce. This was also terrible - did not tast of mustard, just a very strong, salty gravy. In the
end, my partner asked for mustard, and was brought hot English mustard - really went well
with the food - not. With our obvious dissatisfaction, we were not offered anything to
compensate us for a terrible meal. The water was not kept topped up and I think they just
ignored us and wanted us to leave. I think that this is a place that gets enough customers from the Crowne Plaza hotel, probably not wanting to venture far for a meal, and willing to pay high prices for not much.
