Have always loved Kepple Island. Staff and food were fantastic. Rooms were clean and had some updates. Would have liked to been advised when booking that the room we chose shared a common wall with other visitors. The walls were paper thin and this was not great. Had we or the other residents known we may have chosen different accommodation. Aside from this it was a great stay and can't say enough how great the staff and even live entertainment was, it made the rainy days more enjoyable. Bushwalks were good, but would benefit from better information on how far they are and grading/recommendations for families with children.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your feedback, we're pleased you enjoyed Great Keppel.
As the island is not a National Park, signage on the island is limited and all tracks outside our lease is beyond our control, we do have maps available and try our best to chat to guests about their plans and encourage them to talk to our team before venturing off.

We hope to welcome you back again.
Kind Regards,

Eloise

Absolutely stunning island with some great snorkelling. 2 nights min is a must. Weather was perfect. Long beach is picture perfect and the best snorkelling was at monkey island, 2 hours before low tide. Boat transfers around the island is available for $30 each way. Happy hour at the restaurant is fantastic. The ladies at hideaway were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Room tip: Ferry service available for direct transfers. Boat taxi transfers on the island @ $30 each way. Ice available on the island.

Island is just awesome so it doesn't matter that the room was so small, and as you have to carry all your gear from the drop of point to your room (which seem at least a few hundred metres) it is essential to pack light.

Our beach cabin was lovely and very comfy so no problems there, the Jet Ski hire guy Jimmy (seperate business to hideaway resort) on the main beach was PERFECT and gave us super duper value for money and customer care! But the resort staff and the food plus bar drinks and restaurant food was just awful unfortunately! Do not buy the top premium food package at $150 per couple per night as it's the biggest rip off along with the cocktails with very very minimal booze in them which is far from fair when you pay a lot for evening drinks on an island paradise with you loved one at dinner then later into the evening. When we got to the restaurant we ordered BBQ ribs and Baramundi to be told IMMEDIATELY that half the items on the menu were not available and only the crap everyday common foods were left in stock. It was actually hard work to put together a decent meal from the menu left overs, then on top of that they charged us for small extras that we were told by reception when booking our short break for our 1st wedding anniversary that the top restaurant meal package extras were all included. The wine they served us was sunbleached vinegar and to be honest the whole food and drinks thing left a real sour taste and I'm affraid to say we will never be back. Money grabbing tossers comes to mind and our trip to an island paradise was totally ruined. My wife was really disappointed and i felt like burning the joint down to be honest, the staff were just plain rude and we are left totally gutted... My advice is to aoid Hideway Resort like the Covid BLACK PLAGUE...
