I had so much fun at Fraser island! I was staying in a 6 share dorm, which was nice and clean. Out tour guide Charge was the best! He was really social and knew a lot about the island, it's history and about aboriginals. It was really interesting to hear all those stories and facts. Also he wanted us to change cars so wet got to know everyone in the group. And we had a blast at the resort with beer bong tournament! I got to drive the cars for a few times and that was so much fun! Fraser island is incredibly beautiful place. I will highly recommend it for other travellers!

We went to the island for two nights and we honestly couldn't of asked for a better experience! The days were filled with adventure and the evenings were great for socialising! We met some amazing friends, the food was good and Paul our tour guide is an asset to the company! It really was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we loved every minute expecially driving the cars!

Thank you Paul for a great experience on Fraser Island!

Great work. Good food, good price, great memories of a lifetime. The only downside was the accommodation, however little time is spent here. Shout out to bazza for going above and beyond in making the trip memorable. He is an asset to the company.

Ok it maybe a Teepee BUT
Fraser Island however you do it is a MUST:
Now ive travelled alot over 40 odd years and i rate this in my top 3 that ive ticked so far: behind kayaking/rough camping in Alaska:
4x4 Toyota where well maintained had 1 guide driving in front: 2 manuals & 1 automatic tagging along behind: in a set order never to be deviated!!! Lol: 32 of us about half & half drivers you have to be over 21 with 2 year clear driving licence: so in each tag along were 4 drivers: 4 non: we rotated giving EACH of us a good 20-30 mins driving along the beach: high tide low tide: soft sand: dirt tracks: lumpy bumpy tricky bits which we followed wheel tracks in lead car:
Felt safe & secure if not pushed a little out of comfort zone:
So i was at least double the age of the majority of the group but was accepted & fitted in as ‘mummy hen’ with her chicks:) lol. Infact 2nd day while my chicks recovered from a tad too much parting the night before i took over driving as all good mummas do:
The food was basic but plenty of it: each car took turns to prepare or cook brunch lunch or hot supper: it worked well . I admit i had a great car: 3 Danes: 2 Germans: Dutch & French with me speaking native English: their parents would have been proud of them and
as the Tour Guide BAZZA. Stated at the end would happily take the whole group for a week: Bless Baz what a responsibility: Us lot new to sand driving: 4 big powerful 4x4: deemed to be s tad over stating SAFETY. But still allowed everyone to have fun:
I dont drink but overhearing conversations its probably a downside as buying alcohol on the island is expensive & restricted to certain areas:

We really enjoyed our tour and it was the tour guide that made it. The experience of driving the 4x4's across the sand beach was like no other and the helpful guidance and knowledge provided by Steve made the experience very pleasant. He also tells those dad jokes that are annoying at the start but by the end of the trip you can't help but smile at his persistent effort at lightening the mood in the group. We only stayed one night and two days but it was well worth it. Nomad's Fraser is thoroughly recommended especially if you're a young backpacker like myself!
