Absolutely wonderful house and position. We all loved staying out of town and being surrounded by the bush and wildlife. The house is sensational. We had 6 people and everyone had their own space and we spent every night on the deck eating, drinking, watching birds, lizards and the sun go down as well as all the fantastic weather coming up the valley. There is so much to do around the area.Great coffee at The Junction Cafe in Mossman. The driveway is seriously steep and you definitely need a 4-wheel drive. took us a couple of days to get used too but then it was part of the adventure and actually said goodbye to it as we left!!!
do yourself a favour and stay at The View.

This beautiful house is located at the top of a hill, surrounded by rainforest, overlooking sugar fields and the Coral Sea. Port Douglas and the Low Isles form part of the view, as do the coastal ranges that make this such a beautiful area. We stayed here for a week and loved every minute. From the house it is about 25 minutes drive into Port Douglas and 20 minutes north to the Daintree River. The town of Mossman is only 5 minutes away. Mossman has a working sugar mill, a really good café (The Junction Café), a well stocked supermarket, and provides access to the Mossman Gorge. We have nothing negative to say about our stay. A small warning: the 500 metre long driveway is very steep in parts such that a heavily loaded small car might find the climb a bit of a challenge.
Well, What a house, we really weren't expecting such luxury for the excellent price. A huge spacious house and yard overlooking an incredible view of the rainforest out the ocean and across to Port Douglas. The house had everything we needed, all the appliances were top quality and beautiful linen and comfy beds. The house is central to all the tourist attractions, Port Douglas restaurants and the Daintree Rainforest, an hour to Cairns where we had a great day out at Green Island. Nothing nicer than coming back to the house to relax and unwinding in a fantastic pool. Well worth the price,
