Our 2 bed garden penthouse was large, well maintained and nicely furnished. Quieter than pool front rooms, but without the attraction of stepping out into the lagoon. Maybe the shower could do with an upgrade though.
As with a lot of hotels they request you reuse your towels to save the penguins, which is fine. But if that’s the case then please fit a heated towel rail, or the wet towels pile up.
Hotel grounds looked great and the common areas too. All really smart and attractive. Pool is really well designed, good depths for kids.
Staff were all super friendly and helpful, though there was a wide spread of competency.
Food I thought was pretty average. Buffet breakfast was hit and miss (tough bacon, anaemic sausages etc), and evening food was too formal and not as good as it’s trying to be.
I’d certainly go back, but would be planning evening meals out in PD and the beach shack around the corner and choo choos for breakfast. More
