We stayed at the Sheraton for 6 nights. The hotel is nice and the rooms have recently been renovated. Our room was comfortable. The lagoons are beautiful as is the beach. A few things need updating--the main pool is not in great condition. The staff at check in were a bit slow and no one was around to help with our bags. Poolside staff were fantastic. Overall food was very average.

My partner and I had the best 5 nights here. Food was excellent, hotel amenities were on point. Staff were polite and helpful. One in particula, Brendan. He went above and beyond on every occasion and really looked after us. I couldn't Recommend him highly enough.

Kind Regards

T&J

Booked direct with hotel as they had the best rate. We booked a garden view hotel room and on arrival were so thrilled to be told we had been upgraded to a studio garden view. We had a great stay and the staff in general were lovely and attentive. Nothing bad to note.

Some handy hints from our stay that may help others:
- standard hotel rooms all have shower over bath.
- studio rooms have walk in shower (much easier for me being pregnant).
- our room had a coffee machine that had ‘nero’ pods (see picture).
- great bar size fridge which we filled with our own drinks and snacks (see picture).
- we used the eco vouchers in lieu of housecleaning each day. This gave us $15 per day to spend on food and drinks around the resort (note you can’t collect these and cash in at check-out like other hotels, they must be used before you check-out).
- various discounts for Marriott members around resort on food (it’s free to join).
- central ice machine which can be hard to find but we were directed by staff.
- coffee at cafe in lobby was rubbish and cost $9 per cup.
- food in general in the resort is ok but we are foodies and had a car so went into town for most meals. We didn’t try they fine dining restaurant as there were better in town for the money.
- gym isn’t convenient as it is out of the resort in a neighboring country club across the main road. There is a shuttle from the lobby. Hubby found the beach great to run on as it is flat and hard sand.
- 30 min walk along beach into heart of town. We hired a car as it was easier with the transfer from Cairns and being pregnant.

Check in was fast and friendly service.
Room is huge, spacious and clean.
Out door area is facing a little pond with many tropical trees, very relaxing and privacy area.
Buffet breakfast has a variety range of foods and drinks.
Unfortunately I didn’t have time to walk around the resort or went for a swim. Definitely to come back with a family to enjoy this beautiful resort.

Spent a few days, great spot and a nice walk along the beach to Port Douglas Centre. Friendly staff. Loved the concept of getting a voucher to spend there for saying no to housekeeping. Only disappointment was the swim up bar. Experienced a few in my travels and this one lacked atmosphere. Swim up bar gets 2/10 but everything else was great!!
