Found this hidden gem late on our holiday but is a great place easily accessible from ramada resort and others on the road into port douglas. Staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are good for the area. They offer a wide selection of interesting food in the restaurant as well as pizzas in both the restaurant setting or less formal (And cheaper but self service) pizzeria. We would have gone here most nights if we found it earlier. The setting is as it sounds; a shack style with sand and music. Good choice of beers and wines too. I suggest the... macca stack whack... well something like that anyway! Lovely egg plant, tomato and goats cheese stack. Warning to brits though; mild curry to them is hotter than we would think. A butter chicken took us by surprise with the spice. Still great tasting though. expect to pay $70 for 2 courses and drinks for 2.

Hi Paul D,

Great way to walk off dinner - super close to Paradise Links. Thanks for the booking tip - we often have people disappointed during peak times so always best to call ahead.

See you next time!

Just off 4 mile beach at the south end of Port Douglas. The floor is a layer of sand on concrete that gives a fun feel. As well as the main restaurant there is a pizza bar.

We ate in the restaurant part. The service was quick and friendly. I had fish and chips and the large serving was fresh and tasty. Mel had barramundi, which she enjoyed. The garlic bread was good also.

We are not talking fine dining. But it is funky and good value or money.
